Using the What’s New for Sales Tips

AVON Campaign 5 What's New 2015Did you know you can use the What’s New Book for Sales Tips? Think of the What’s New Demo Book as a magazine for representatives. Not only will it show you all of the upcoming products and give you a chance to order them ahead of the customer brochure, but it also has sales tips, recipes, and other information that you might find useful. This blog post and the video I made to accompany it focus on how you can take advantage of the sales tips in the What’s New. For Campaign 5 the main product was the Winged Out Mascara so most of the tips focused on selling makeup and mascara. One awesome one with the mascara is a trade in program where you offer a discount to your customers that trade in their old mascara to get the new one or a new one depending on when you run the special. Or maybe you run the special all the time and try to remind customers every three months to replace their mascara or with the seasons or something along those lines. There is also mention of how customers or yourself can use the Virtual Makeover tool that is on our eStore websites that customers can shop. Upload a photo of yourself or have the customer upload a photo of herself and then play around with the makeup palette to create a look and then order the makeup straight from the tool. And of course there is tips on the Social Media center which is becoming more and more of a focus for representatives to take advantage of Social Media and the center that Avon offers for you. In the video I also mention how you can use the Did you Know facts that are posted to your advantage and I show you the Sterling Silver pouch that comes with most of our Sterling Silver products. I also mention the Get the Look that was in this What’s New for some of the Mark. Products. Overall, look through every What’s New to see what tips are available to you and many of them can be used in your Avon business on a daily basis when growing customers and leadership. Product Review: Bug Guard Plus Anti-Itch Spray

BugGuard Plus Anti-Itch SprayThe Avon Skin So Soft Bug Guard Plus Anti-Itch Spray is great for when you have a bug bite and need something to soothe the itch. It is not a bug repellent like the other Bug Guard products. I had an itchy spot last summer that was something terrible on my ankle and the Anti-Itch Spray worked really well to soothe the itch. In fact it worked so well I stashed it in my purse so I could use it throughout the day as needed. Turned out that what I had was not from a bug bite, but I was still glad I had the Anti-Itch Spray handy as it did work and I will definitely keep it handy at all times now because sometimes despite everything you still end up with bug bites or itchy spots. Product Review: Skin So Soft BugGuard PLUS Picaridin Aerosol

BugGuard Plus Picaridin AerosolThe Skin So Soft BugGuard Plus Picaridin Aerosol can is meant to be used at dusk and dawn to repel bugs. It’s recommended dusk and dawn because it has no SPF in it, but you can use it during the day if you are using another product for SPF. This BugGuard repels mosquitoes, deer ticks, gnats, no-seeums, sand flies, biting midges and black flies.  DEET FREE!! The Active Ingredient is Picaridin.

Why did I bold black flies?

I bolded black flies because this BugGuard is the ONLY one that claims to repel the black flies. Have you ever been at the beach and the black flies are biting? So annoying right? Well, my family relies on using the BugGuard Plus Picaridin Aerosol Can EVERY summer to keep those pesky flies away when we are at the beach trying to get our tan on and relax. It really works and has truly been a lifesaver! Even my skeptical little brother and his friends will ask me for the BugGuard when the flies start biting. The other BugGuard Plus Picaridin products may work, but this one is the only one that specifically states it will repel the black flies. I plan to test the towelettes and pumps out this summer just to see if they work too, so stay tuned to my blog to see what results I got when testing out the towelettes and pumps on black flies.

How to Use Your AVON What’s New to Take Advantage of Samples and Sales Tips

To follow along with me in the video, you can click the image to see the What’s New I used to make the YouTube video with tips on using the What’s New to buy samples and use samples to grow your customers as well as to see the sales tips mentioned and read them for yourselves.

Using Samples to Grow your Sales:

  1. Take advantage of the SCENTED Pages that AVON offers in each brochure. Draw attention to these pages by folding them over to grab a customer’s attention.
  2. Attach samples to the pages where the product is featured in the brochure.
  3. Use samples to break the ice and start a conversation with a potential customer (think Fragrance and Skincare sales). Make sure to get follow-up information so you can ask how they liked the sample.
  4. Thank Loyal Customers by adding samples to their order bags.
  5. Give current customers samples of the featured product in the brochure (such as in Campaign 7 it was the Hydration Mask).
  6. Make Sample Packs for events–a simple pack includes a fragrance sample, recruiting flyer, sales flyer (the little booklets and outlets Avon sends you with your orders), business card. You can also add other samples if you have more to invest or more to get out to customers but fragrance is the most budget friendly.
  7. Take advantage of the Sample Pack deals listed in the What’s New brochures. This is the most budget friendly way to build up your samples. Samples do work to get customers to buy especially with fragrance and skincare.
  8. Don’t put all of your profits into getting samples, but a small investment from time to time or even if trying to get samples of something in particular for one customer, can grow your customer base because people love to try before they buy!

Pay attention to the Sales Tips that are in each What’s New:

Almost every What’s New book has at least one sales tip for you to use to grow your customer base or the loyalty of your current customers. These tips are very useful and can be used for years to come. I’ve learned a lot from the tips other representatives have shared in the What’s New books.
