Boosting Your Confidence with Just a little Makeup and a Face of the Day look (#FOTD)

A little bit can go a long way and make a big difference…

When it comes to makeup, a little bit can make a big difference in your appearance. Should you be confident with your appearance without makeup? Yes, of course! Is it nice to dress up your natural look with makeup? Yes! While the natural look is great and fine for most day to day activities, it is nice to mix it up from time to time and add a little makeup to your look. What makeup you add depends on what features you are looking to bring out in your face. Eye makeup (eye liner, eyeshadow, and mascara) brings out your eyes. Lipstick brings out your lips. Blush or bronzer can bring out your cheeks.

Simple goes a long way. There is no need to go overboard with your makeup. When I do everything, which is rarely, I will do face primer, powder foundation, concealer if needed, blush, eyeshadow, eye liner, mascara, and lipstick. I usually only do all that for special occasions. On a daily basis during the week, I will wear a single shade of eyeshadow and lip balm or a colorless lip conditioner. On the weekends I usually wear lipstick and eyeshadow. Sometimes, I decide to throw on mascara too. In this Face of the Day, I am not wearing any face makeup besides blush and I have on mascara, eyeshadow, and lipstick.

Avon Skin So Soft Bath Oil

Avon Skin So Soft Bath Oil was originally released in 1961. Since then it has become a household name and is probably the product that Avon is most known for aside from makeup and fragrances. This Bath Oil contains Jojaba Oil and has a light herbal scent. It can be used during a bath or after a bath or shower to lock in moisture and keep your skin soft. It comes in a 24 fl oz bottle, 16 fl oz bottle, and a 5 fl oz pump spray bottle. Over the years consumers have found over 100 uses for the product beyond it’s intended use as a moisturizer. The Avon True Color Eyeshadow Quad is definitely a must have product. The quads come in several different color combinations that all go together. You can even mix and match colors from different quads to create a unique eye look. I personally love the quads because they are a palette of four different colors and you can play around with which shade or shades you decide to use on a daily basis. Avon Moisture Therapy Products

Our Avon Moisture Therapy line has five different lines of lotions and body washes/scrubs. The main line that most people are familiar with is the Avon Moisture Therapy Intensive Healing & Repair (blue) line. This line also includes a lip balm. The main line is good for dry skin and repairing dry skin. The Daily Defense line (orange) is good as a daily moisturizer and is also okay for sensitive skin. The Calming Relief (brown) is good for itchy skin and helps to soothe itchy skin from dryness. I have used the calming relief and it did help me. The Moisture Therapy Derma Soothing line is dermatologist tested and approved as a treatment for Eczema by the National Eczema Association. I had a couple bouts with Eczema since this product came out and it did give me relief. The Moisture Therapy Derma Restoring line is for the treatment of keratosis pilaris (“chicken bumps”) and also dermatologist tested. Below is the video I did talking about each of the lines.

Favorites Friday: Avon True Color Eyeshadow Quads

I truly enjoy the Avon True Color Eyeshadow Quads. These have been my go to eyeshadow for awhile. I like that there are four different colors to choose from and to make different combinations on your eye. These quads are great to have in your makeup drawer so you can have a variety of looks based on the day, time of day, and your mood. There are currently five matte shades and thirteen other shades.
